Paranormal Investigators in Kent and the South East

Free, confidential investigations for homes, workplaces, and historic properties across Kent, Sussex, and the wider South East.

If something feels wrong in your home or workplace and you cannot explain it, you are not alone. Unexplained noises, cold spots, strange sensations, objects moving on their own, or a persistent feeling that someone is watching you: these experiences are more common than most people think, and they deserve to be taken seriously.

Kent and South East Paranormal (KASE Paranormal) is a dedicated paranormal team based in Kent, carrying out private investigations across Kent, Sussex, Essex, and the wider South East of England. We are not a commercial ghost hunting company or a TV entertainment act. We are a private, members-only group of experienced investigators who do this work because we genuinely want to help.

Every investigation we carry out is completely free. We never charge for our time, our travel, or our expertise. If you are searching for paranormal investigators near you, or ghost hunters who will take your experience seriously, you have found the right team.

What We Investigate

We take on cases across a range of settings. Whether you are dealing with unexplained disturbances at home, unsettling activity in a workplace, or reported phenomena at a historic site, our approach is the same: thorough, respectful, and evidence-led.

Private homes: If you are experiencing unexplained activity in your house, from strange sounds and temperature changes to the feeling of a presence, we will visit discreetly, listen to your account, and conduct a careful investigation. Many of the people who contact us have never spoken to anyone about what they have experienced. That is completely fine. We are here to listen first.

Workplaces and businesses: Recurring activity in a workplace can affect staff morale and day-to-day operations. We work around your schedule, carry out investigations with minimal disruption, and treat every case with confidentiality.

Historic locations: Kent and the South East are home to some of the most historically rich sites in England. Castles, forts, churches, tunnels, and buildings dating back centuries have all been the subject of reported sightings, residual energies, and unexplained phenomena. Our team has investigated locations across the region and brings both historical research and investigative experience to every case.

How We Work

Our approach is grounded, methodical, and always respectful of the people involved. We are not interested in drama or sensationalism. We want to understand what is happening and, where possible, help you find clarity and peace of mind.

Every case begins with a conversation. A member of our team will speak with you about your experience, ask questions, and get a feel for the situation before any visit is arranged. In many cases, concerns can be addressed or explained during this initial contact alone, without the need for a full investigation.

If an on-site investigation is appropriate, a small team (usually three to five people) will visit at an agreed time. Contrary to what television might suggest, our investigations do not need to take place in the dark. Paranormal activity is reported just as frequently during the day. We investigate at the time that makes the most sense for the type of activity being reported and for your comfort.

Our methods blend careful observation, environmental monitoring, historical research, and spiritual awareness. We use a range of equipment where appropriate, but we never rely on gadgets alone. The goal is always to gather quality evidence that stands up to scrutiny, not to produce content for entertainment.

Why People Contact Us

People reach out for all sorts of reasons. Some are frightened by what they are experiencing. Some are curious. Some have been living with unexplained activity for years and have only just decided to seek help. Others have tried everything they can think of, from house spirit cleansing to ignoring the problem entirely, and are looking for a different perspective.

Whatever your reason, there is no wrong time to get in touch. You do not need to have evidence, a dramatic story, or even a clear idea of what is happening. If something does not feel right, that is enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Click to expand each question below:

  • No. Our investigations are completely free. KASE Paranormal is a private, members-only group and we carry out this work because we genuinely want to help people who are experiencing unexplained activity. We do not charge for our time, our equipment, or our expertise. In some cases where significant travel is required, we may ask for a small contribution towards travel expenses, but this is always discussed upfront and is entirely optional. If you have been searching for free paranormal investigators near you, we are exactly that.

  • Absolutely. Every detail you share with us, including your name, your address, and the nature of your experience, is kept completely private. We never share information about any investigation unless you give us clear, written permission to do so. Discretion is a core part of how we operate.

  • It is nothing like what you see on television. The process starts with an initial conversation where we learn about your experience and assess whether an on-site investigation is needed. Very often, many or all concerns can be addressed during this first contact.

If a visit is appropriate, we agree on a date, time, and any specific requests you have. A small team of three to five investigators will arrive, set up any relevant equipment, and carry out the investigation. This includes speaking with witnesses, reviewing any evidence you may have already gathered, and carefully observing and monitoring the environment. The format and duration depend entirely on the nature of the reported activity.

  • It depends on the case. Some visits last a few hours. Others may involve follow-up sessions over time. We always discuss the plan with you before we begin and make sure you are comfortable with every step.

  • We do not offer exorcisms or formal clearings. Our focus is on understanding what is happening and providing you with honest, evidence-based findings. In our experience, understanding the nature of the activity often brings a sense of resolution on its own. Where appropriate, we may suggest practical or spiritual steps that others have found helpful.

  • If something feels off, whether that is fear, curiosity, confusion, or just a persistent sense that you are not alone, we encourage you to contact us. You do not need to have answers. You do not need proof. You just need to want to talk about it. We are here to listen, without judgement.

  • The word "professional" has been used loosely and sometimes misleadingly by groups in this space, so we are careful with it. Like every paranormal investigation group in the UK, we are volunteers. However, our methods, our conduct, and our approach are considered professional by those who have worked with us. We are experienced, methodical, and supported by consistently positive testimonials from the people we have helped.

  • Neither. Our goal is to document what is genuinely there and remain as impartial as possible. We ensure that any evidence we present can stand up to scrutiny. There is, unfortunately, a lot of unreliable and even dishonest evidence in this field. We would rather present a small amount of solid, credible evidence than a large volume of material that cannot be verified.

  • Not necessarily. There is rarely a valid reason to investigate in total darkness. That convention comes from television and ghost stories, not from good investigative practice. Investigations conducted in complete darkness often suggest inexperience or are done for dramatic effect. We typically work in subdued lighting, which allows for much better evidence gathering. Paranormal activity is commonly reported during the day and in full sunlight. We do have night vision equipment for situations where it is genuinely needed, and many of our investigations happen in the evening or at night simply because that is when people and locations are available, and external interference is at its lowest.
